Western Herbal Medicine
Hours: Thursday 3-7 PM
Herbalists are integrative health care practitioners who use herbs and plants as their primary medicine. Our herbalist will assess patient's health history and lifestyle to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses. With this comprehensive evaluation, the herbalist recommends therapies that may consist of teas, tinctures, or single herbs. Herbal medicine is a great preventative tool to maintain health and is an excellent choice for many chronic and acute conditions.
Acupuncture
Hours: Wednesday 2-5 PM
Acupuncture is the insertion of hair-like needles into special points on the body, both for the treatment of ailments and as a preventative measure to maintain good health. A typical session with our acupuncturist involves a comprehensive initial visit and a treatment lasting around 45 minutes.
Chiropractic Care
Hours: Tuesday 9 AM -1 PM
Based on the belief that the body has an inborn ability to heal itself, which can be inhibited by time, poor diet, injury, mental stress, pollution, and medication, chiropractic care uses specific adjustments of the spine and joints to correct imbalances in the body. Most commonly, folks seek chiropractic care for headaches, back pain, and neck pain, though many also use it to maximize their health and wellness.
Occupational Therapy
Hours: Tuesday 4:30-6 PM (Spring & Fall Semesters)
Occupational therapy assessments focus on what meaningful activities or occupations are essential to you and identify what works and is not. Occupational therapy can help with healthy habits or routines for taking care of yourself, building connections with others, using technology to manage your health, making changes in your physical spaces, and learning about support in the community. If you could use support in any of these areas, try occupational therapy!
Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese healing practice that promotes relaxation and supports the body’s natural healing abilities. Combining "Rei" (universal) and "ki" (life force energy), it involves channeling energy through light touch or hand hovering. Clients often experience warmth or tingling, though it's not necessary for effectiveness.
Reiki balances energy, supporting physical, emotional, and mental well-being. It complements medical treatments with no side effects and is accessible to everyone, regardless of beliefs.
